LEAG’s Position Regarding the Bridge Projects in Albion.
While LittleRiver Environmental Action Group (LEAG) takes no position regarding the issue of rehabilitation versus replacement of the Albion River Bridge, we think there are several issues regarding this project that give us pause.
CalTrans has begun projects on the bridge before the proper permits have been issued. CalTrans needs to follow the rules.
The second issue has to do with the intertwined relationship CalTrans has with the California Coastal Commission. This would seem to us to be an obvious conflict of interest and not in the best interests of the citizens of California.
